Declaration of Interdependence

I hold these truths to be self-evident, that none of us was created equal, but rather that our eccentricities and myriad of passions are what may bring us together, into a physical manifestation of the collective unconsciousness.  I do not believe in some all knowing Creator, but rather explore and celebrate the unknown, the cosmic toolbox from which we biospecks emerged.  I claim only one unalienable Right, the right to reach out, reach up to the stars and down to the Earth, reach each arm to grasp for friends, family, lovers.

The history of my nation, and of most nations, is a history of warfare in the name of peace, the accumulation of wealth in the name of benevolence, restriction in the name of security, deception in the name of greater good.  I live in a country where I have the freedom to choose, but am often choosing between evils, increasingly incapable of guessing which may be the lesser.

I call on my species to reach out with me, to one another.  I envision a new world order in which nations are supplanted not by multinational corporations, but rather by international coalitions committed to social justice, artistic celebration and spiritual blossoming.  Let us transcend the antiquated ideal of conformity and rather challenge one another to cultivate and express the remarkable.
